I grew up drawing, ended up tattooing, and never stopped doing the other things. Painting, film, sound and objects are not departures — they're the same practice using different tools.

What holds it together is people. Almost everything I make ends up with somebody inside it: carrying it, wearing it, hearing it, or sitting still for eight hours while it happens on their skin.

Vienna is where the work is made. The water, the concrete, the trams and the weather all end up in it whether I intend that or not.
